I need some opinions..

I've just been thinking about this for the past few days, whether or not I've been too obsessed with the shipping fandom...

I guess this applies more to Janime then it does here, but I'm rather not post it on my Janime blog I don't want to risk stirring the pot...

I dunno, people have told that I been taking it too far, but I don't really fangirl any shippings outside of the shipping clubs on Janime clubs, topics about shippings, my blogs, or my site.

And I get a lot of crap over what my stances are, like I believe Judai is gay. Honestly, please leave me alone about it. Its my opinion get over it. Yes I do give Fianceeshipping/Faithshipping a lot of crap, but I never do it outside of private convos with friends and like once on a blog(that I carefully warned on my Janime blog that still got a riot started), but really my blog is my personal space besides I've seen more crazier shipping related stuff posted on blogs that people don't get mad over

Ugh I don't know, maybe I should just cut off myself from the shipping fandom for a while

I just feel sad that I can't feel good about what I like anymore. Actually its been that way for most of my interests so it shouldn't come as a surprise

I guess I just don't want to come off as an obsessed fangirl...I just think maybe its a little silly..maybe...ugh...I can't think anymore

What do you guys think...

this is still the only juudai icon i have /faaaaaail

if you're going to let other people ruin it for you, then get out. simple as that. I see no problem with being an obsessed fangirl, but that's just how I am and I've always been. if you want to be a fangirl, find people that you can do that with and who will accept you for it. simple as that.

also, Juudai is so fucking gay. had [livejournal.com profile] bonjovis not already convinced me of this fact, your site would have.

Mine pwns yours XD

Yeah, I guess I let people get under my skin too much thanks

Yep, people still insist that he's not(or they say its not confirmed) but I find it hilarious

"I guess I just don't want to come off as an obsessed fangirl"

Same here actually. XD;;
People at Janime get so mad at me if I say anything about Yusei, which is why I keep quiet there.

Well, back in the old days when I first registered there, they weren't as opposed to such opinions. ><
No shippings were flamed.

But after 5D's started, some of the members started getting really nasty. The people bothering you ARE (usually) those who are disliked by the whole community. So just don't worry about it. ^^

[identity profile] digitalstarry.livejournal.com 2008-10-01 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, especially in GX forum, nowadays the only things discussed are how much of a failure GX was or shipping debates, come on people spread a little love for GX, sure it will never be as good as DM or 5D's, but at least don't flame it every chance you get

Same here, if I fangirl over Yusei at any place other than his club, people get mad at me

Its really sad though, that one of the biggest YGO forums is going downhill...

[identity profile] johanaire.livejournal.com 2008-10-02 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
It's extremely hard to find someone like TDM who accepts the dub as well. Whenever I say I watch the dub, all of them just laugh at me. o__o;;
No one (well not many people, I mean) appreciates GX anymore. Everyone there is getting really grumpy. ><;;

There's no reason for them to do so. I used to be a Manjoume fan and everyone around the GX section knew that, but no one would get mad at me. Rather, they just let me go on fangirling.

It's really going downhill. I guess 5D's really changed a lot...and then the new mods too. Once the new mods came about, they started to argue a lot and many things were changed. The new mods are good, but a lot happened after they were chosen. =O
I feel sad as well.

[identity profile] digitalstarry.livejournal.com 2008-10-02 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
The problem is, the dub(especially in GX case) is really bad, DM dub was ok though. Im ok with people with people who like the dub, its just hard to take the dub seriously when Im more of a purist

Yeah, I wish I could fangirl over Spiritshipping over there, but people just get mad ><

I appreciate GX, it gave me an awesome OTP, introduce me to Judai(too bad nobody really likes him anymore because he stole the spotlight many times) and many other good characters ^^

Really, who and when were new mods chosen? I've only been active for a months over there, so I might have missed it..

[identity profile] johanaire.livejournal.com 2008-10-02 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I can understand why you'd dislike the dub, but (there's still no need for other members to bash me when I just say "dub") XD;;

Spiritshipping has always been more "taboo" though. I'm not sure why, but it seems like people in the forums either love it or hate it.

True, true. ^^

There were about 6-8 new mods. After they were chosen, the rules were all debated and everything was probably turned over. And after they were chosen, those mods decided not to go to Janime as much. ^^'' (some of them, some of them started going there more.)
New mods...
CoCo x7 (his name is long ><)
Death T
TDM
Tsunayoshi
Airy (Modern Death)
Jack_Atlas (Endrance)
Ultimate Kagemaru (UK)
DarkYami

This should be the whole list. XD

[identity profile] digitalstarry.livejournal.com 2008-10-02 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
That would bother me too^^

Its because its either a gay paring or people are sick of us calling it canon(despite the fact that IMO its about as canon as a gay paring gets in YGO, with the exception of JudaixYubel which I also like)

I see, Coco and Airy don't get on that much and I have never seen Death T doing any mod actions, TDM and DarkYami are good though

Why did they need to debate the rules, it doesn't seem like that would be needed

Not to mention that Tobi got a 3 day ban a while ago for cussing, which was harsh IMO

[identity profile] johanaire.livejournal.com 2008-10-04 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
^^

Hmmm...I think it's because it's a gay pairing. April-san (Pan-san on Janime) gets really mad whenever anyone talks about the word "gay." ><

Airy used to be there a lot. =O
True, true.

Most of the rules were added after they were made mods.

Well, >Valon< (a VIP) got a week ban and Deidara got a week ban; cussing in the former, posting third fingers in the latter. Very harsh. >

[identity profile] digitalstarry.livejournal.com 2008-10-04 10:14 am (UTC)(link)
Well..people need to accept the fact that many people like that paring(its the most popular gay paring for GX) and its a gay paring, maybe its because there is a lot of Fianceeshippers that are there, and they can't stand the fact that Spiritshipping is more canon?

But why?(regarding Pan-san)

I see...

I don't understand why cussing(using censors at least) is bad since everybody does it, I cuss but I usually save it for here since nobody cares if I say "fucking bastard, damn you!" or something.

Whats posting third fingers?

[identity profile] johanaire.livejournal.com 2008-10-04 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Pan-san is Christian, so she often gets mad when people talk about things that aren't accepted in Christianity. =O

Well, someone on Janime is really getting sensitive and tryin to pan a lot of people. >>
I wouldn't report Tobi. And I'm sure you wouldn't report him either. But in this case, someone reported him. >>

I'm sure you know what holding up a third finger looks like right? Well, Deidara posted some pictures of third fingers on someone's profile, because he was bothering her. Then he reported her and she was banned.

[identity profile] digitalstarry.livejournal.com 2008-10-04 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, even if she is, she has to learn that on the internet, people have a wide range of views, so she has to deal with it.

Nah, I wouldn't report him unless it was something really bad, thats just being an ass.

Well, that was probably not the smartest way to deal with things, but a week long ban is harsh

Anyways, Im about to post an epic long rant on Janime later

[identity profile] johanaire.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
I was never supporting her though. She got really mad at me once before just because I pretended that I was another person. =/

Ah, well, people just do these things. ><

Same one as your LJ?

FUCK JANIME

[identity profile] 7th-rock-alien.livejournal.com 2008-10-02 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
This is the Internet, hon. Don't worry about it. Everybody's obsessive over something, and your thing just happens to be 5D's and shipping. Whatever your opinion is on anything, there will always be a million people out there who disagree. And if they flame you about it, the easiest thing is to do is ignore them. Their shit ain't worth replying to, and all you'll be doing is fanning the flames.

Bottom line: Don't let a bunch of 'net fucktards get you down. Most of them are doing it intentionally.
