Fic challenges and plot bunnies

Started on a drabble type of challenge here http://digitalstarry.livejournal.com/57057.html#cutid1 Probably not going to be posting the drabbles here because I'm shooting for a drabble written each day. Its 100 words a piece so I better make it count XD~

Also, I has another plot bunny I want to work with. [livejournal.com profile] northwind_gale I know this is your type of stuff :D

Anyways, I know that Yusei getting Dark Signer'd is probably been done a couple of times now. But I was thinking of doing it right after Yusei takes a tumble into the Momentum pit. Instead of being rescued by Mufasa his father, he dies by getting pushed into the pit from the ghosts. With that, he gains a false goal that he must take out the Signers, to avenge the people killed by Zero Reverse. A duel with Jack however, cleanses him.

What if you bring in Yuseis powers at that point again? They react when his emotions run high, right?

So if he was to lose control of them, it would blast them both down into rainbow pitt. Duel is interupted, but who cares about that once they swim in the momentum? XD

*nod* He also, during the second Misty and Aki duel, kills Divine with his powers instead(but still giving Divine an appropriate karma death XD)

XDD Yes that will work well. Now would a duel reverse it instead of killing him>

Also rp account lolz. :D

I dunno. It kinda sounds like a general overuse of his guilt tripping powers to suddenly kill Divine in the middle of the Aki/Misty duel part deux. It makes it look a bit like a plot device, methinks. Unless he is still DS'd at that time, somehow, then I could see that happening. I'd like to think that his powers coincide with his emotions towards them-if, perhaps, that duel with Jack/Crow/whoever helps him to see reason, and to come to terms with his powers, the responsibilites they come with, the things they've caused, and to learn to not run from them by seeking death, but accept them, and to tame them, those powers would melllow out somewhat-at the very least, stay under control better.

Now, if the duel concludes in a draw due to Yuu's powers, like Icey said, then it would be the effects of the lethal rainbows Momentum and the souls trapped within, that caused him to die, that the cause of Yuusei's death might possibly be Yuusei himself, as he wishes to seek repetenance. If Jack/Crow/whoever makes him see reason during that duel, then I'd hazard a guess that perhaps, yes, a duel might just reverse it through da powah of friendship and bonds and yaaaaaaay.

Mmkay. I'm still fidling with his season two history. It was more like a thought then anything else.

Yeah, I just don't know if he can be fully DSed, or if a Signer can be DSed but Double Signer Godwin did happen. So it is possible for a Signer to become DSed but I'm still unsure if his Signer mark would go away @_@

Well, we'll see how it looks when it's fleshed out. :)

I'd like to think that perhaps instead of being erased, it would be...repressed? Like the mark would still be there, but it wouldn't activate or something. In this Yuu's case, the powers inside him seem to be more deeply connected than canon!verse, and I doubt they'd be erased that easily. Also, it's stated that the Crimson Dragon did choose the power of bonds, and if this Yuu still holds his bonds close, which may be probable-he's only seeking revenge for repetenance, not hatred like the rest of the DS's revenge is still revenge however, gleeeee-there's a chance that the power is still inside him, and if whomever the Savior duelist is who duels him manages to link with him, to trigger those powers, it could reverse his DS-ification. So, he might not be a complete DS. :o?

[identity profile] digitalstarry.livejournal.com 2009-07-29 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I think a Savior Dragon could heal him(which is why Jack would be more appropriate for him to fight).

Especially a Yusei would hold his bonds though. I just wish we had a better example then Godwin to go by.

We kinda sorta have the twins *shot*

Actually, I've been pondering the concept of dual Signers as well, for experimentation with Cetus' future. In his case, I was thinking more of a deadly balance. Keeping himself neutral is the key to keeping the powers tamed-if he leans towards one side, the other will react and tear his body and spirit to shreds. Really, I think it's implied in canon that dual Signer-dom is a difficult state to be in, and can't be in for long without a conclusion. The volatile reaction of having the two opposite powers next to each other would destroy the person if they didn't choose. Rudger didn't hold that status for long after recieving it, after all. Dual Signer-dom was really just the first battlefield in a long war.

[identity profile] digitalstarry.livejournal.com 2009-07-29 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
Well I meant canon example XD

And what are you plotting with Cetus?

Though Rex could have held his longer since his only switched when his mark was taken away. And didn't Rudger become a DS after ZR occurred and after he sliced off his arm?

EXCESSIVE TL'DR IN WHITETEXT WHEEEEEEEEE

[identity profile] 1andnotthesame.livejournal.com 2009-07-29 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I know. lD

It's something that happens a little while after the execution duel planned for him. He's still somewhat alive, and in his near-death state, he fervently wishes to see his friends one last time to make sure that they're alright. Since he's befriended Ushio in this verse, Ushio seeks the remains of Team Sat out and sneaks them into the compound to visit him (although since it's been three years, I'm pretty sure Jack is King by this point and so I don't know about Jack, hm...). However, seeing that Kiryuu doesn't seem to have fully forgiven Security, and is still inclined towards insanity and revenge, it makes him afraid to die for the first time in three years, because he doesn't think that he's been able to help his friend. This indecision on his part causes him to be confronted by Ccpac Apu (attracted by his fear of death) and the Crimson Dragon (attracted by his will to protect) after death. With his mind clouded by doubt and fear, as well as a lack of prior knowledge of the Signers and Dark Signers, he doesn't know which path is correct, and only wishes to come back. This is a decision he later regrets, as he is latched on by both of them. Because he hasn't accepted either one of the entities, he can't access the entirety of either one's abilities-he's come back to life, but only his internal organs are preserved, forcing Cetus to bleed himself dry and basically mummify himself to keep his external body dry and to keep it from rotting. He is confronted by Godwin, who gives him the basic TL'DR Rexposition, and agrees to work under him under the condition that the bridge is built at the end of the war. He goes under the alias of "Tail", and remains in Godwin's shadow, using the resources of the Public Security Maitenance Bureau to keep an eye out for his friends. However, he is constantly haunted by the thought that he can't keep up this charade for long, that if he steps even one toe out of line, the war will break out in his body and endanger everyone. Hence, he remains silent, aloof, and inadverdently pisses off each and every member of TS when he does run into them down the storyline.

Well, from the way I read the subs, I think it was implied that even though he wasn't fully a DS, both the Crimson Dragon and the Earthbound Gods had some kind of hold on him. So there was still a war going on inside his body, and in a way, he was a dual DS.

holy crap I thought Rhod was the Queen of Teal Deer

Ah okay, Im behind on subs (only up to 57 ;~;). Still this could pave for more dual DSs. For instance a Jack who did give into the illusion from Carly.

[identity profile] 1andnotthesame.livejournal.com 2009-07-29 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
Clearly I think too much about this stuff.

Ah. See, in 59, Rudger tells his little brother "There are two gods residing in my body! But I chose the path of evil!" Or something along those lines. :3 And Rex repeats that in 63. Or I think it's 63...

...somebody should do that. Besides that epic mun who did the Jack straight from the illusion.
