CHAOS THEORY 8D

So anybody wanna join a roleplay game that allows AUs, plenty of space for plotting, lax activity checks and no limitations of powers barring those affecting space/time~?

No one knows what he is. An angel, an alien, maybe a bored ancient god. However, everyone in the city does know that all of the decisions he has them make have consequences.

"It's very simple," he tells each of the people that have been taken at an opportune -- or less-than-opportune -- moment from their timelines, "what I would like you to do is make one decision." Waving vaguely at the star-encrusted expanse of space beyond the window behind him, the angle of light (or lack thereof) obscures all but his silhouette.

You have been taken from your place in the universe at a critical junction in your life, one at which any path you choose will cause dramatic results no matter what. Perhaps not immediately, but in the future, certainly. Presented with your own situation from an outside perspective, as well as with the potential decisions you can make, you are asked to consider your answer wisely. No matter what you are asked to decide, however, you must be very careful with your logic. While taking one route will do this, it will also do that... and it is much the same for every other path you may be able to move yourself along -- the process is fairly cut-and-dry, it seems.

Of course, you're not forced to make a decision on the spot. Making hasty choices often leads to doing something you will regret, he claims. So to begin, you are deposited in a small sanctuary city of sorts, with a tiny population and nothing outside it but a stretch of long, infinite abyss of sky and space, and told to take as much time as you need to make your choice.

This is the last you hear from this man.

Stuck in a foreign, apparently middle-of-nowhere place with the serif of a space colony by someone's supposedly-benevolent action to give you a chance to truly consider your options before you make an important decision, one that could potentially change or ruin your life forever, you have nowhere to go and no way to contact the one who apparently watches over the events that take place in the city.

Events that over time may very well make anyone question what their purpose of being here is at all.

Opens September 20th!

I might join. I'm stilling waiting on [livejournal.com profile] capeandcowl and I'm still considering [livejournal.com profile] re_fated.

Ooh whats re-fated about?

[identity profile] nikil-san.livejournal.com 2009-09-08 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm just going to quote it as it explains it better than I can.

Re-Fated is a multi-fandom, multi-genre roleplay, seeking a balance between mystery, comedy, and drama. It supports an ongoing plotline that will continue to evolve over the course of the game. Characters will take the place of their equivalents in Haven -- comparable to replacing oneself in an alternate reality -- assuming that equivalent's life. The citizens of Haven, long ago having ceased to believe in magic or the supernatural, remain ignorant. At least so far.

Oh and I forgot the story.

One June summer night, a house exploded in the city of Haven. With a flash of light and a burst of flame, it was gone, cracking the very foundation and murdering the family inside.

This was where the problem began. The police could find nothing wrong. No evidence of tampering or arson could explain what had happened.

Yet something was afoot. Citizens began to report sightings of strange creatures from the corners of their eyes -- phantoms that loomed like their childhood nightmares, and yet were gone when viewed straight on. It was nothing, they reassured themselves. The incident of the McCoy family, unresolved and inexplicable, had made them jumpy, that was all.

Unfortunately, that was the beginning. Not even a week after the destruction of the house, the other-worlders begin to arrive, dragged out of their own lives and their own realities into Haven's -- into select bodies and lives of its citizens. Apparently they were meant to do something. Apparently something else didn't want Haven to know they existed.

YES 8D Awesome~

Though if you want to play any of your Yusei AUs, probably only martyr!Yusei would work. Since Ryu is considered an OC and you have to retain the basic concepts of canon :X

[identity profile] northwind-gale.livejournal.com 2009-09-08 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, thanks to Icey and her Kiryuu, Martyr!Yuu is a lot more defined than he once was. He'll work fine. lD

[identity profile] northwind-gale.livejournal.com 2009-09-08 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Ummm, question? Since we're sending the characters in during an important decision, would this mean I'd be sending Yuu in just before he gets himself arrested...or would it be easier for me to make the decision on whether or not to go through the execution duel? O:

[identity profile] digitalstarry.livejournal.com 2009-09-08 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Execution Duel would work better

Also please refrain from joining the comm with your mun account. You are only allowed to join with a pup account and only if it is accepted

My success with new games blows 8D

But I might try out. I just signed up for a South Park game, so hmm...

Not sure what series I should apply for. I'm juggling between Higurashi and South Park...

[identity profile] digitalstarry.livejournal.com 2009-09-08 06:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Pfft

Higurashi would be sweet |D

[identity profile] somatosensation.livejournal.com 2009-09-08 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] digitalstarry.livejournal.com 2009-09-08 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
:D Bring in the martyr Kiryu along with Gale's Yusei~?
iceyly: (*glee-giddy*)

[personal profile] iceyly 2009-09-08 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I love him to much not to bring him. ;D
iceyly: (*glee-giddy*)

[personal profile] iceyly 2009-09-08 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
:D

Though regarding the decision thing, I've been thinking about pulling Kiryu from when he is having his duel with Takasu. Is that alright with you?

[identity profile] northwind-gale.livejournal.com 2009-09-08 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Which will seriously and utterly screw with him if he finds his Yuusei still alive. XD XD Awesome.

Unless I can draw up some icons for "Tail" and scan 'em in before we can apply, then they can be up from the same time. Hm. We'll see. :D
