A plug for ipod users on my friends list

http://www.floola.com/modules/wiwimod/

This is the best ipod mod I've seen yet.

Why? Because it takes the place of itunes and allows you to use your ipod on multiple computers ^^

While you do lose the ability to buy stuff from itunes, I never do. I just rip stuff from YT vids or CDs around. Therefore its good for me because I have different comps I use. And while it did shut down if you didn't use the most updated version it seems to have been corrected now ^^

Just throwing it out here for anybody who could benefit~

Bawww, I don't have an iPod. *weeps forever*

I always wanted to buy one, but annoyingly enough, Apple products of any kind have always been far more expensive in Europe than in the US (for example, an iPod Nano sells for around 250 USD around here -- and the price hasn't changed at all in four years -- while a friend of mine brought hers from New York at a little over 100 USD or so a few months ago).

I finally gave up and bought a nice little 1GB Sony MP3 player, which has served me faithfully for the past year and a half. :p

D8

Could you score one off ebay or something? There's shipping, but compared to those outrageous costs its nothing

Heh I couldn't live on 1 GB, I have a 30GB myself and its nearly full after stuffing hundreds of songs/videos for the past three years

I could try, yes. I've never used eBay before, but it's definitely worth a shot.

Also...... 30GB?!? ARE YOU CRAZY, WOMAN?!

*shot*

Seriously though, that much space is enormous in my perception. True, the 1GB is starting to be a little small, but I'll just replace it with a 2 or 3GB one, when push comes to shove. Anything more than that seems far too much, :p

Seriously, that's actually a little small, since they now come up to 120 GB and my model has been discontinued >>;

Probably the videos mostly, which has about twenty or so episodes of GX + 5D's on it, a couple of walkthroughs and such, a movie or two and a ton of MADs and OP/EDs, considering most videos I have are around 5 MB up to 120 MB, it eats up the space fast

I personally don't like Ipods as I prefer to use other MP3 players or a CD player (I used an Ipod once and I hated the controls, plus the crappy head-phones that come with it.). I usually only use Youtube for music so I don't have a need for portable music players. *Is so old-fashioned/weird*

*shrugs* I like the controls, and I just buy a nicer pair of headphones instead of the ear buds

XD That'd be handy if I used more than one computer
/pets laptop

[identity profile] digitalstarry.livejournal.com 2009-09-30 03:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahaha well its not just using more then one comp, its that I've had to reboot my hard drive on my comps twice this year and I don't wanna lose the music >

[personal profile] aymiah 2009-09-30 03:34 pm (UTC)(link)
you don't have a portable hard drive?

[identity profile] digitalstarry.livejournal.com 2009-09-30 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Um no? I have USBs but thats not the same thing
aymiah: (DN: L thinking)

^^; what I used to do before I had one was burn them alll onto CDs with what date I'd burned them and like, A-K, L-M etc.

Lots of CDs, but, it worked for awhile and I still have them at home

[identity profile] digitalstarry.livejournal.com 2009-09-30 03:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah

oh fffff I meant on my ipod not comp when I rebooted while I still used itunes. Because itunes only syncs up the pod to one comp at a time.

Yeah CDs don't have a lot of storage though
aymiah: (DA: eh-heh sure thing..)

[personal profile] aymiah 2009-09-30 03:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly ^^; though I don't know how expensive they are, but I know that you can burn data onto 4GB DVD discs - I did that for my work this summer. Dunno if they sell those publicly or not or just sell them to businesses.
