Meh, been playing this hack called Pokemon: Shiny Gold since last night. For those who don't know, its a hack of Fire Red to make it look like an remade version of G/S. Its a pretty nice game and very nostagic since Gold was one of first handheld games and on of my favorites.

Anyhow onto the dub episode~

Leo sounds really off in this episode, its probably cause he's trying to sound like his sister, but still...

lol Leo still calls Yusei Mr. Amensia Man, I wonder how long will they plan on keeping that up XD

Im surprised that they left the Fortune Cup logos alone, but then again it would have been a pain in the ass to edit them out

Wait...did they say Akiza's surname was Izayoi? Sweet~

EDIT: Nope its Izinski, what the hell?

Zigzix actually sounds pretty funny in the orginal~

Oh and they cut out a couple of shots of the momentum detector things, no big deal though..

Was Bommer so bent on getting Ruka to reveal that she was Signer in the orignal? I know he clearly wanted too, but they seem to make it more evident in the dub

And they ereased Lua and Luka's names from the sheets that Lazar had, but thats predictable.

5D's is also getting moved down to 11am in my area too(it currently airs at 11:30am my time). Meh...don't really care

ShinyGold was made by a guy on PokeCommunity, IIRC. Its one of the more successful hacks on there, apparently...is it any good?
Also...how big is it? *would love to play a Gold remake* XD;

Yeah I know that, its pretty good some of the stuff that could not be put in because the Fire Red engine doesn't have it like Night and Day and PokeGear and the map is nonexistant 0_o. Its pretty good, the handy thing is that you don't have to deal with your save battery dying and you can speed up the pace on the emulator.

It covers pretty much the entire game and it has all the pokemon up to Gen 3 as well. Its not as good as what an official one would be but for hack, its pretty darn good

Akiza Izinski? I actually kinda like that name. 0.o FFFFF AKI IS NOW POLISH!

I thought his name was Greiger. <.<; Maybe I misheard? Regardless, I'm disappointed they didn't give him something Hispanic. Since he's like, y'know, from Peru... And, yes, he was all about revealing Luca's signerness in the original. The dub just wants to beat it to death for all the kiddiewinks.

I can understand why they took out the "bomb" references in the original names (LOL TERRORISTS!) and why they edited out the twins' names from Lazar's paper (LOL NAME CHANGES!). The stuff they didn't change made me a happy camper, though. ^^ It seems like they might actually want to halfway dub this right. Either that, or they couldn't find anything to lol up this ep any more than it already was. I'm also already used to Tempei's dub voice and it bothers me significantly less than Yanagi's.

Maybe her dub voice will reflect it? I'm betting they just changed it for some "cultural diversity" or some shit. Even though they could have very easily done it with any other character...
