So I concrited somebody on a fanfic in the 5D's section. A poorly written one, a typical insert mary sue with a ~~tragic~~ past with relations to canon characters, a plot that is only a rewrite of episode 9-10 and the only difference is the sue being in the story and Yusei instantly hooking up with her. And for the icing on the shit cake, she even gave the sue a name like Rose and even refers it your POV except it isn't my point of view and very ooc of me.

So I concrited about the shitty writing, no paragraph breaks and oocness that makes it an eyesore about a week ago and got this

"well that certinally got my self confidence down. THANKS FOR THAT!"

After I had a good laugh about that, I wrote this in return

"Oh noes! I hurt your feelings D:

No seriously, what I did was give you an brutally honest con crit review. If you can't handle criticism, why are you here?"

Then this in return

"uh noooooooooooooooooooo im over it

get a life, i can, it was just my first review and now i dont give a rats ** about it, and besides people love my stories on quizilla anyway no big whoop"


So now, she's ignoring actual crit because her sheep friends like it? How lovely.

Well, she deleted it about an hour afterwards and pmed me saying she would rewrite. And I left it alone after that, thinking she had smartened up.

But nope the fic returns and its the same damn thing. Here's the fail if you want to see it.

You can find my review in the reviews section. I'll admit I didn't really crit this time around, since my crit from before still stands.

Anyway I got this PM:

"i did but, i didnt really care for your comment, i have fans and they like
it, and why did you bother to click on it again?"

So yeah, more ignoring on the crit. Now she's trying to avoid it by deleting her stories so no reviews can be seen but glowing praise.

I replied back with this

"lol wat. It seems to me you're trying to avoid treating a legit problem. By deleting your story so my review wouldn't be seen. Guess what sweetie? If you don't listen to con crit you're never grow and develop as a writer.

And unlike your fans and yourself. I have standards to uphold, and pairing a blatant self insert mary sue, complete with a tragic past and hooking up with a canon character who is out of character is just bad writing."

So she gives me this bullshit about she is actually 21 and too busy to rewrite it. I have a hard time believing somebody who's that age cannot space paragraphs or use spellcheck properly. Don't most kids know how to use spellcheck.

And if your too busy to write decently, then don't write. Simple as that. Then more stuff about she knows she's a bad writer... and yet she doesn't want to listen to crit. Nice

At that point I got fed up and told her to get a beta, rewatch canon, and read some goodfics essentially and let her go.


Christ the stupidity amazes me ><;;

And if anybody needs to read some goodfics to wash out the stupid, read this or this. And if you're a fan of Yusei/Sherry thats NC-17, read this.


Also is anybody a bit annoyed that there's so many 5D's fics that start with the words "5D's" or Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's"? Its like as if people forget what section they are in @_@


I am amused also at Kiryu often being the dominate person in pairings (Unless its like.. Demak/Kiryu or Rudger/Kiryu) since he is the white haired pretty boy and they usually bottom |D Oh btw, if anybody knows of a goodfic thats Yusei/Kiryu instead of Kiryu/Yusei let me know~



In other news. Mom wants to take me to a furniture store for my b-day. Yeah, I don't even know. At least I managed to convince her to take me to me to a four story arcade where there's one wall covered in only DDR machines 8D

I also apparently can't dress as Luigi for Halloween since mom doesn't want to take me to the Halloween store. So I want to dress as Heather for Silent Hill since that is relatively easy to do but Mom says its pointless since nobody would recognize me. Thanks Mom @_@

People who think their material is readable, apparently. ==;;; I've only found a few fics who were walls of text that were actually good-and they were either people where English wasn't their native language or chapter-fic writers who got neater over time.

...is...is it normal that I looked at the badfic once, saw the giant walls of text and then immediately hit the back button? I was terrible at one point but wooo did I manage to improve over a lengthy amount of time.

My eyes and my muses are afraid of this fic.

And gosh I haven't read any Yusei/Kiryu or Kiryu/Yusei in a while, but if I find some I'll let you know~

Yesss, it needs to be done. I like Kiryu topping Yusei and I've seen it done right, but I have yet to see hardly anything thats Yusei topping Kiryu (especially DS Kiryu)

Its not as bad as the GX section is. At least from scanning over the front summaries or the authors that wrote it, you can weed out some of the crap. If it gets too awful everybody can flock the goodfic comm I started over there o/

I lost any and all hope for this person as soon as I read that. Seriously, if you're looking for a pit of sheer fail that would make FF.net look positively decent by simple comparison, Quizilla is the place to go.

Aside from some genuinely interesting or amusing quizzes (the number of which can probably be counted with the fingers of one hand) there's nothing but mind-raping stupidity to be seen there -- with second-person self-insert fics reigning supreme and lording over a monumental pile of crap.
